About Virginia Electronics
Virginia Electronics was formed by company president Tim Cundiff and treasurer Tina Cundiff when Circuit City™ withdrew from the service area in early 2004. Tim served as a technician for Circuit City™ from 1984 until 1992. In late 1992, Tim was offered a position to train technicians in the North and South Carolina market. This provided him a corporate level position by 1999. He trained technicians sent to Richmond for initial training.
In 2003, Circuit City™ began closing service centers across the United States, and Tim moved into the HR Department to train sales associates and technicians via online training and testing. When the time came for him to leave Circuit City™, Tim opened Virginia Electronics in early 2004.
We began our business on the strength of television repair, lighting control installation, and home automation products. In late 2004, we added Samsung™ and GE™ warranties with new extended warranty work to our service areas. From our humble beginnings, we now offer a first-time, fixed ratio of 80% or better, stock more than $200,000 worth of parts, and have more than 30 years of professional experience.
We currently service the majority of Virginia, including parts of Nags Head, and Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Our company currently has 24 employees, including 13 technicians, and all have had drug screenings and background checks, and been certified in their respective fields of repair.

My refrigerator went out right before Thanksgiving. The company was prompt with setting a time to get a diagnostic done. The whole process was professional and polite. I absolute will use this company for any future repair services!
The technician came out and looked at my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator that had stopped cooling properly. He diagnosed the issues very quickly, and walked me through the costs to fix the issue right there on the spot. My $125 diagnostic fee was credited towards my repair costs and the repairs were made that same day.
They were courteous, great followup, great communication and Eric the technician was super!

Samsung recommended Virginia Electronics to repair my out of warranty dryer. I was skeptical with the reviews below and the upfront $125 charge. I was very pleased! They were able to give me an appointment with 24 hours of calling. The technician arrived early within the 5 hour window with a phone call in advance. Technician was very professional and fortunately for us, he had the part on the truck. I did not overpay for the service and he had kind advice for how to maintain my washer & dryer.
Highly recommend! They're incredibly friendly and helpful, and provide fast, easy customer service! Will definitely use them again!
I had the best service man I’ve had in all of my 70 years of service on any appliance. He did a better job, he explained to me how to use the appliance and what he was doing. He cleaned everything up and it was the best experience I have ever had with any kind of appliance.

Had an excellent experience with VE&AR. The technician arrived when he said he would and he explained everything he was doing during the repair process while working on a Samsung washing machine and a Whirlpool dishwasher. Technically proficient, professional and courteous. Highly recommend.

I was apprehensive after reading all the disturbing reviews here, but I had an exceptionally good experience with the service on our Samsung washer, so thought I'd post it for balance. The dispatchers were very courteous. There was a little snag because they needed to confirm warranty eligibility (the serial number is inside the door, which we couldn't open due to a failed latch. Thanks, Samsung!), but once I emailed them a copy of the purchase receipt, that was easily resolved, and they even moved the appointment up a day for us. The technician, Tim (a young man, apparently not the owner that others have expressed concerns about), arrived near the start of the time range, was unusually courteous and professional, had the problem diagnosed in 10 minutes, and fixed in 20. He also tightened up the hoses for us, which is surely not covered by the warranty. He even gave us a card with his direct cell phone number on it. And there was no charge for any of it — no diagnostic fee, as others have encountered. I've really never had such a positive appliance service experience. Maybe it's luck of the draw, or maybe their service has improved...?
The repairman, Tim, did an excellent and quick repair of my ice maker in my Whirlpool refrigerator. He suggested what to use to clean the ice port on the exterior. He was prompt and very polite.
Tim was wonderful! He answered his phone immediately and directed me accordingly to his schedule department.. He quickly fit us into his schedule and was polite and efficient, as well as giving us great recommendations. I will definitely use VEandA repair again. I highly recommend the company.
The service repair guy Bill arrived a little early and was very quick and effiecient at helping us with our e same day washer. We called they sent someone which is a plus. We will definitely recommend to our family and friends.
I called VA Electronics on Monday after Thanksgiving since my Samsung Clothes Dryer was not heating. For those of you who have Samsung appliances, there are very few appliance repair companies that service this brand. So, I called Samsung and they referred me to VA Electronics. Because both my wife and I work full time, we needed the service repair after 5pm. The technician & Owner who answered the call was extremely helpful and we made the appt for the following night. He arrived promptly and took care of the issue with speed and skill. Great service. They now have a repeat customer for all my appliances.
